FAQ

Why should I continue my Renascent vehicle service contract?

The older the vehicle, the more likely repairs will be needed. That's why manufacturers limit the years and mileage that accompanies a new vehicle.

Renascent is there for you when you need repairs, with everything you need to get back on the road: roadside assistance, towing, a rental car, direct payment to the repair facility of your choice, and more! Coverage includes everything from transmissions, to engines, to wheel bearings, and just about everything in between (Coverage varies by coverage level).

What’s more, Renascent coverage makes your vehicle worth more when it is time to trade it in. Additionally, if you plan to sell your vehicle yourself, you can transfer the Renascent contract into the new owner’s name, assuring you the highest possible resale value. Renascent customers are glad to have protection from rising repair costs and the inconveniences of factory warranty repairs.

How do Renascent service contracts work?

Renascent vehicle service contracts are agreements between you and Renascent that give you peace of mind protection against mechanical breakdowns and the inconveniences associated with them, such as Substitute Transportation, 24 Hour Roadside Assistance, Trip Interruption and lockout coverage. Renascent Plans pay for covered repairs directly to the repair facility requiring nothing out of pocket from you.

When should I purchase another Renascent plan?

As you add time and miles to the vehicle it becomes more expensive to protect against repairs, similar to purchasing life insurance; the older you get, the more expensive premiums become. Simply call us to find out the best time to get more coverage. If it makes sense to wait, we'll let you know.

How do I pay for my next contract?

You're welcome to pay for the coverage in full, or utilize a 0% interest and no credit check payment plan. We accept all major credit cards, checks, and ACH transfers. Should you sell or trade the vehicle prior to the expiration of your new contract, you may be eligible for a pro-rated refund of the unused portion minus a $50 cancellation processing charge.

How much does it cost to keep my vehicle protected with Renascent?

Similar to car insurance, the cost of an Renascent contract is directly related to the type of car you own, how long it has been in service, the current mileage and what deductible and plan you select. It only takes a few minutes to get quotes tailored to your vehicle.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes! Each Renascent Vehicle Service Contract has a 60-day money-back guarantee (providing there are no claims). After 60 days, upon your written request, Renascent will refund the pro-rata, unused portion of your warranty minus any claims that have been paid. There is a $50 cancellation fee that applies if the Renascent Plan is cancelled after 60 days.

What parts and service does a Renascent contract cover?

It depends on what level of Renascent coverage that you are eligible for and choose. Renascent offers a wide range of protection from Ultimate, the most comprehensive coverage similar to a new car warranty, to Principal Coverage, covering the major engine and drive line components.

Is my car, truck, or SUV eligible for coverage?

Some level of coverage is available on most vehicles newer then 20 model years and with under 200,000 miles on the odometer. Any components that are covered by your Renascent contract must be in good working order prior to starting coverage.

Do I have to wait for reimbursement on my repair claim?

No. Renascent pays the repair facility directly. Your only out-of-pocket expense is the deductible, if applicable, and any charges not covered under your contract, such as maintenance items or non-covered repairs.

How are repair claims processed?

Take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility and ask them to call us at 844-601-2022. The repair facility will call Renascent for pre-authorization before work is performed, and Renascent will pay the repair facility directly on your behalf by credit card for covered repairs minus any deductible. It’s that simple!

What if I have a failure after business hours?

Renascent provides Emergency Repair coverage. If you have a covered failure that renders your vehicle inoperable or unsafe to operate outside of our business hours (8 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday & 9am-3pm on Saturdays - Eastern Standard Time) the repair facility can call our emergency line at 614-726-3150. Otherwise simply have the repair facility contact us during normal business hours to obtain authorization.

I have coverage from Renascent, but have lost my paperwork. Am I still covered?

Yes, you do not have to have a copy of your paperwork to get coverage. Simply visit any licensed repair facility (see below) and ask them to call the Renascent claims line, (844) 601-2022, and reference your VIN number (this is a permanent number located in your vehicle) to obtain authorization for any covered repair.

Where can I get my car repaired?

Renascent contracts are welcomed at virtually every licensed repair facility in the U.S. and Canada.

My contract doesn't mention Renascent anywhere

Renascent is an administrator with multiple business names as subsidiaries. Scioto Vehicle Protection, Scioto Administrators Corporation, Amerigard, or Performance First are other names you may find on your original or new vehicle service contract. Rest assured, all of our brands provide the same claims experience.
